Key acronyms
- IAAP – International Association of Accessibility Professionals
- CPACC – Certified Professional in Accessible Core Competencies
Key definitions
- Competencies – Abilities or skills
- Domain – Area or topics
With respect to IAAP, some of the terms has been adapted to make it more easier for me to understand and interpret from a Deaf-centric point of view.
For example, IAAP uses the term, domain, which does not exist in ASL. As a result, I would have to fingerspell which defeats the purpose of signing. The closest interpretation would be the sign, topics.
